Elliott fast but luckless at Brno. Rea narrowly misses podium finish.

Racedays Kawasaki rider Josh Elliott stormed qualifying in the STK 600 class of the Brno World Superbike round, posting the fastest times in all three sessions. A great start in the race saw him break away with championship leaders Jereme Guarnoni and Florian Marino with Josh leading for several laps. Unfortunately a loss of grip in the later stages of the race dropped him to 3rd place. With two laps to go Josh pushed hard, setting the second fastest lap of the race to close onto Marino's Honda, but a small mistake in the uphill chicane saw the young Northern Irishman thrown from his Kawasaki ZX6R with one lap to go. Although disappointed not to finish after such a strong showing, the team and Josh are very happy with his performance and are confident that Josh will be at the front for his home round at Silverstone in two weeks time.

Racedays supported rider Gino Rea was unlucky to miss out on a podium finish in the Supersport class following a fantastic ride, finishing in fourth - his highest position to date.

Encouraging test for Elliott
Josh Elliott has enjoyed a succesful test at Brno prior to the WSB STK 600 race. This was the first opportunity the young Northern Irish rider has had to experiment with the settings on his new Kawasaki ZX6R race bike and he was able to reach an optimal setup fairly quickly, assisted by his friend Gino Rea and technical ace Andy Stone. With transponder timing available Josh was pleased to be able to record times consistently in the low 2,07 seconds on worn tyres. Comfortably under last years fastest STK 600 times. The team and Josh are hopeful that this positive test will lead to success on race weekend.

Strong 8th for Elliott at Misano

Josh Elliott finished in a credible 8th place on his first visit to Misano circuit. Despite suffering grip problems on the hot and slippery track Josh overcame a poor qualifying with a great start then a gritty performance to hold off riders Lombardini and Major. He finished as first circuit rookie and won the Pirelli prize for most places made up in the race. The team heads to Brno next, a circuit Josh knows and will be able to test at before the race.

Josh Elliott to WSBK

Josh Elliott, acclaimed by the biking media as one of the most promising racing talents in the UK, will be competing in the 2010 World Superbike Championship's Superstock 600 series.

Elliott, who has been racing since he was nine, astonished race followers after a series of stunning rides in the IDM Supersport championship last year. Josh scored points in the tough German series at only 14 years old and went on to became the youngest ever podium finisher in a national Supersport championship.

Riding again for the Racedays Honda team he is currently the only British rider entered into the WSBK Superstock classes.
